Our Story: Why We Understand What You Need

In 2020, a medical reality forced us to make a choice: Find a lifestyle that worked for our health, or spend years managing a traditional life that didn’t.

We chose our sailboat.

That decision taught us something that no certification or training could: What it actually means to depend on technology when local repair shops don’t exist.

When your computer fails while you’re sailing the Intercoastal Waterway, you can’t drive to Best Buy. When your WiFi cuts out mid-transaction, you can’t call a local tech support company that works 9-to-5. When you’re managing your finances, running your business, or staying connected with family—and your system goes down—that’s not just inconvenient. It’s a real crisis.

We’ve lived that reality. We’ve troubleshot system failures in storms. We’ve managed security threats with spotty connectivity. We’ve learned what “reliable tech support” actually means when reliability is the difference between normalcy and catastrophe.

Now, we use that experience to serve people like us: nomads, traveling professionals, sailors, RVers, and financially secure retirees who understand that technology is critical infrastructure, not a luxury.

Kayla is the person you’ll meet when we’re in your area handling implementation, setup, and troubleshooting.

Her Expertise: She holds a BS in Information Technology and Security with a minor in Information Assurance, along with advanced certifications in Microsoft systems and Cisco networking. What that means in plain language: She understands how systems work end-to-end, how to secure them against real threats, and how to design networks that actually function reliably.

Kayla stays current with evolving security threats through ongoing professional education. When she sets up your system, you’re not getting last year’s approach—you’re getting cutting-edge security practices applied to your specific situation.

Joe handles the deeper technical planning: infrastructure design, web development, system architecture, and consultation for artists and independent professionals.

His Expertise: He holds CompTIA A+ certification and has advanced training in enterprise networking. More importantly, he approaches technology from an ecosystem perspective—not “fix this one computer,” but “how does this fit into your complete digital infrastructure?”
