Residential Technical Services

Protecting your finances, identity, and personal data at home#
Most families now rely on home technology to access banking, investments, medical records, and personal communications.
Unfortunately, this has made individuals — not just businesses — a primary target for scams, fraud, and ransomware.
A single successful attack can result in:
- Direct financial loss
- Identity theft
- Loss of irreplaceable personal data
- Long-term disruption and recovery costs
Our goal is simple: reduce the chance that a technology problem turns into a financial problem.
Our services are designed to reduce risk, detect problems early, and prevent small issues from becoming expensive events.
Today’s threats most often arrive through everyday channels:#
- Email is still the primary means of attacking computers
- Text messages or emails that appear to be from banks or delivery services
- Social media messages from compromised accounts
- Fake websites designed to capture login or payment information
- Phone calls impersonating trusted companies or government agencies
These attacks are designed to look legitimate — and they work.
Our services are offered in two formats:#
- Break/Fix Support – One-time repairs and troubleshooting as needed
- Managed Services Plan – Ongoing security, monitoring, and proactive system management
Advanced protection, monitoring, and backup services described below are available exclusively through enrollment in our Managed Services Plan.
No system can prevent every possible threat.#
However, a properly managed and monitored system significantly reduces the likelihood of a successful attack and limits the damage if one occurs.
The short version:
Prevent problems instead of paying for them later#
Most computer issues don’t start as emergencies — they start small and go unnoticed.
Our Managed Services Plan is designed to:
- Catch problems early
- Reduce the likelihood of security incidents
- Maintain system health over time
Similar to routine maintenance on a vehicle, ongoing care helps avoid larger, more expensive failures later.
The difference is that with technology, failures can involve not just inconvenience — but financial loss, identity theft, or data destruction.
You are welcome to read the technical information below, or you can skip to the plan details here.

Computer Protection & Monitoring#
(Managed Services Plan Required)
Each enrolled computer is equipped with advanced protection that:
- Detects and stops ransomware
- Identifies suspicious system behavior
- Blocks malicious programs
- Helps prevent unauthorized access
- Can automatically isolate a device if suspicious activity is detected
- Protects web browsing by blocking phishing, malicious sites, and tracking
This service provides continuous monitoring and response designed to reduce risk and limit damage from active threats.
Scam Awareness & Digital Safety Guidance#
(Managed Services Plan Required)
Technology alone cannot prevent every scam. Many modern threats rely on urgency, impersonation, and social engineering.
As part of our Managed Services Plan, we provide practical guidance to help clients:
- Recognize common scam tactics
- Identify phishing and impersonation attempts
- Respond safely to suspicious calls, emails, or messages
- Verify financial requests before taking action
- Reduce exposure to identity theft and fraud
By combining layered protection with informed decision-making, overall risk is significantly reduced.
Device Theft Protection#
(Managed Services Plan Required)
Enrolled systems are configured with security controls to help ensure that if a device is lost or stolen, your data remains protected.
Mobile devices (when enrolled) can optionally include location tracking.
If necessary, remote safeguards can be applied when the device reconnects to the internet.
Secure Cloud Backup#
(Managed Services Plan Required)
We provide secure, encrypted cloud backup solutions to protect your important files against:
- Hardware failure
- Accidental deletion
- Ransomware
- Theft
- Fire or flood
Backups are continuously monitored and can be restored when needed.
Why proactive protection matters#
Most people only seek help after something has already gone wrong.
By that point, the outcome is often:
- Data already lost
- Money already transferred
- Accounts already compromised
Preventative protection is significantly less expensive — and far less stressful — than recovery after an incident.
Break-Fix Services#
Break/Fix services are ideal for resolving immediate issues and are offered when availble. Clients who are participating in our Managed Services Plans recieve higher priority support and a waiver of the Service Call Fee.
$75 Service Call Fee
- Includes first 1/2 hour of labor
- Includes local site visit or remote software installation
$90 per hour labor rate
For longer processes (such as large updates or system scans), we step away so you are not billed for passive processing time.

Important Notice#
Break/Fix services provide one-time assistance and do not include ongoing monitoring, proactive threat response, or managed security services.
No security solution can guarantee complete prevention of every possible threat.
However, a layered and actively managed approach significantly reduces risk and helps prevent serious financial and personal damage in most situations.
